St. Pius X Parishioners,
In response to the new directive from the CDC that limits public gatherings to 50, Archbishop Listecki has suspended the public celebration of Masses through April 3rd in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. This includes both Sunday and weekday Masses. Our last public Mass will be Wednesday, March 18th at 8:00 am in the Chapel. We will post the readings, petitions, and homily for this weekend on our website, and in the future we will have a video of the Sunday Mass each Saturday afternoon by 5:15 pm. You are invited to follow along. The Archbishop stated: “This is a big decision and I don’t make it lightly. As Catholics, the Eucharist is the source and summit of our lives. In times of public crisis, people naturally turn to the Church for spiritual direction, and we need to continue to do whatever we can to support people through prayer. However, taking precautionary measures is a prudent course of action.” All non-essential Parish gatherings will also be canceled during this time:
A few other important items to take note of:
Archbishop Listecki asks that we pray for each other during this time and to also ask Mary Help of Christians to intercede on our behalf. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. I am always available for any sacramental needs. Thank you and God bless, Paul James Portland, SDS
