VOlunteers Needed: St. Vincent de Paul Meal PRogram

We are looking for more help in providing food for the families and individuals who attend the meal program. Historically we have had donations of money given to our food program efforts to purchase bananas and lettuce in bulk quantities. These donations over time have decreased and we now project that we will need more donations to be able to continue to purchase the bulk quantities.

We are hoping to find individuals who may be interested in making small, annual donations to this cause. The average monthly cost of the bananas is approximately $42.00 to $44.00 for 80 lbs. of bananas and the average monthly cost of the lettuce is $39.00 to $40.00 for 40 bags of lettuce.

If there are individuals in the parish who would be interested in donating actual fruits or salads each month, that is another possibility in helping us meet this need.
