Search for a Director of Formation for Children

About two and a half years ago the Pastoral Councils of our three cluster parishes (Christ King, Saint Bernard, and Saint Pius X) decided to move toward a shared Director of Formation for Children. We have had a shared program for youth ministry, Tosa Trio, for many years.

If you remember, last spring a search committee settled on a candidate, but unfortunately at the last moment the candidate decided to take a job outside of the Church, which would allow her more time with her family on evenings and weekends. It was too late to look again and Barb Abler agreed to continue for another year, as did the person at Christ King. I want to thank Barb, again, for generously accepting to do this.

The search committee met recently and we have posted the job on the website of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Our hope is to transition to a program called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a Montessori-based approach to religious education.
