During the seasons of Lent and Easter this year, we once again have the opportunity to change the lives of literally thousands of people in Tanzania.
For the last six years we have collected funds to support the building of wells through the “Safe Water for Life and Dignity” project started by former students of Jordan College, a Salvatorian College and Seminary in Morogoro, Tanzania. Through the generous efforts of our parishioners, we have raised over $80,000 which enabled wells to be built in sixteen villages in rural Tanzania.
There are many more villages hoping to have wells built to provide safe, clean, readily available water. For $5,000 we can provide a new well for a village. Other funds are needed for equipment or well repair. You will find “Living Waters” envelopes in the pews throughout the season of Easter. Our goal for this year is to raise $35,000 for seven new wells.
During this holy season, please prayerfully consider your call to be Christ to our sisters and brothers in Tanzania and support this cause with your donation and your prayers.
