Tosa Together's Lynne Woehrle will be presenting a breakout session on "Organizing for Racial Justice in the Suburbs."
Tosa Together invites you to attend "Racial Justice, The Courage to Act" on Saturday, April 1st from 9am - 4pm at Alverno College.
The featured presenter is Chris Crass, a nationally recognized anti--racism trainer, activist and author who will help participants address challenges and fears about acting against systemic racism and develop their skills to build multi-racial movements for change. Reggie Jackson of America's Black Holocaust Museum will open the program with a presentation on the causes of Milwaukee's hyper-segregation, including the deed restrictions and sundown laws that resulted in nearly all white suburbs like Wauwatosa, and why those of us in the suburbs need to be part of the change.
