On Thursday, September 15, the 5th through 8th graders from Wauwatosa Catholic assembled 4,000 flowers for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. A flower is given to each person walking. Our day began with a prayer service, at which the students prayed for those suffering from Alzheimer's or any form of dementia. They were asked to think about how they could be a light to others. We had a candle lighting ceremony, at which the students said how they are a light to others. A representative of the Alzheimer's Association was present and thanked our students for 5 years of helping with the walk. Each student received a champion medal-because they are truly champions in the fight against Alzheimer's! This is one example of how our students take Action and Service seriously!
