An Update from Fr. Paul - Wednesday, September 23rd

At the request of the Parish Leadership Team, my letter in our newsletter, the Parish Press, which comes out next week, will begin with an explanation of what precautions are in place for the weekend Masses and why it is important to register beforehand.  So far, no Mass has gotten close to all the “spots” being filled.

I met with the mentor assigned to me from the diocesan office.  His main function is to connect me and the parish with resources that are available to us from the diocese.  Based on our goal and the Disciple Maker Index survey, I told him our biggest challenge right now is in formation and evangelization.  He will check in with me once a month.

Last night Sr. MacCanon Brown, foundress of the MacCanon Brown Sanctuary in Milwaukee’s inner city addressed the Justice and Peace Commission, sharing about the impressive work being done to help the neediest in our city.  I am sure we will be hearing more about this and how we can help from the commission.

The Wauwatosa Catholic School Board meets tonight.  Please keep this meeting in your prayers today.
