Happy feast of the Transfiguration.
Last night the Formation and Evangelization Commission held a ZOOM meeting. It is difficult to plan right now (for example, when to resume The 99 Experience) because no one knows how long social distancing and other requirements will be in place. In terms of The 99 Experience, Ron Skelton, chair of the commission, will check with leaders about their thoughts, concerns, etc. Other possibilities for the future, when we can gather once again, were discussed.
Ron and I, both members of the Leadership Team that has been viewing the Disciple Marker Index webinars, gave an overview of what has been learned so far (mostly how to read, interpret, etc., rather than actual “Pius” content). The information will go to the Pastoral Council for its September meeting, but formation in the faith is definitely a felt need among parishioners.
Please keep the Pastoral Council and the Formation and Evangelization Commission in your prayers, as they work on this aspect of our parish goal: to foster spiritual growth and a strong desire to make disciples of all people.
Remember to register if you plan to attend Mass in person. The virtual Mass will be on line by 5:00 pm Saturday. God bless and keep safe.
