Happy TGIF (to those for whom it makes any difference).
Yesterday, there was a ZOOM meeting of all the pastors/parish directors in our Northwest Deanery (a deanery is a division of a diocese). I was pleased to see that we are conducting our liturgies very well, following state and diocesan safety guidelines. I thank all the ministers who make it possible. Please remember to sign up, if you will be attending Mass in person this weekend. The dispensation from attending will expire on Monday, for those who do not have a good reason for not attending. The Mass will be on our website and Facebook by 5:00 pm tomorrow. Lastly, because of the pandemic we were not able to have the Holy Land collection on Good Friday, so we will be having it starting tomorrow through September 17th. The support is needed more than ever now as they do not have income from tourists during this time. Please be generous. We ask that you label your donation “Holy Land collection” and return it in the collection box in church, at the parish office (there is a black mailbox to the right of the main door), in the mail or donate online at bit.ly/StPiusXDonations. Checks can be made out to St. Pius X Parish Community. Thank you. Have a good weekend. Be safe. The next update will be Monday, the feast of the Holy Cross. Today's Readings: 1 Cor 9:16-19, 22B-27 Ps 84:3, 4, 5-6, 12 Lk 6:39-42
