Last night at 6:45, the Salvatorian community where I live gathered for 15 minutes of Adoration (our usual Thursday evening prayer). During that time, I pictured as many of you as I could and prayed for you. Then, at 7:00 pm, we prayed this week’s Pius Thursday evening prayer, A New Birth to a Living Hope, together with all of you that were able to do so. It was the closest I have felt to our Pius community since the last Mass we celebrated together physically.
I will do that each week until the restrictions for group gatherings are lifted. If you can join our Pius community each Thursday at 7:00 pm, you will find the weekly service on our website. It is powerful when we are lifting our voices in prayer at the same time, even if we are not together physically.
I hope you are well, staying safe, and remembering those who are isolated.
