Nicolle Schroeder

Principal, Wauwatosa Catholic School
Greetings and saludos! I am the proud principal of Wauwatosa Catholic School. I began in the summer of 2022.
Before joining WCS, I served as the Dean of Students at both St. Thomas More High School and St. Joan Antida High School. I have also worked as a Summer School Administrator at La Casa de Esperanza School in Waukesha. Along with a graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I hold a Master’s in Educational Policy and Leadership from Marquette University and am licensed as a K-12 Principal and a Director of Instruction by the WI Department of Public Instruction.
Before school administrative work, I enjoyed 16 years teaching Spanish in both public and private schools around the Milwaukee area, including Dominican High School and the school districts of Wauwatosa and New Berlin. Additionally, I have worked as a Multicultural Student Support Specialist, conducting outreach alongside local Latino community organizations.
While working to earn my Bachelor’s at Marquette University, I was able to study at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, living with a Spanish family. After graduating from M.U., I completed 3 years of volunteer work with the Claretians. Two of those years were spent in Guatemala helping to build schools and supervise teachers in remote Mayan villages.
I feel as though what is important to me- my Catholic faith, educational best practices, community, a global mindset- aligns with our culture at Wauwatosa Catholic. Here we prioritize embedding Catholic values into our rigorous global curriculum. Our inquiry-based approach captures the interest of our learners now and builds life-long learners of the future. Students develop skills that prepare leaders to become responsible members of the community and ideally, work towards creating a better world.
Bendiciones y hasta pronto!
