Our Church continually strives to be a welcoming people – a faith community where people can turn for healing and hope, for strength and courage, and for celebration and renewal.  We help our people to be formed into a faith community by the Holy Spirit when they gather around Christ at the table of the Word and Eucharist.  We must assist and support the individual members and local communities of our Church as they work to form a just society by scrutinizing the signs of the times and interpreting them in the light of the Gospel.  We, together with those we serve, must strengthen family bonds in Church and society; we must guard the sacredness of life in all its stages; we must be concerned about the poor, the disadvantaged, and those in greatest need; we must pursue justice and peace.
