Listed below are two reflection questions to be used as the basis for reflection on the September 2015 newsletter that features the main article, "Reaching Out to Millennials."

Reflection Questions for Parish Staffs and Pastoral Councils

1.    Archbishop Listecki challenges us be authentic, relational and invitational when reaching out to millennials (those born from 1984 to 2002). What was your reaction to this article? As a parish or staff, how are we reaching out to millennials in our faith community? In what areas could we reimagine new and invitational ways to engage millennials (social media, technology, etc.)? How do we encourage millennials to connect and participate with existing opportunities offered throughout the Milwaukee area (for example: Arise, Theology on Tap, Brew City Catholic)?

2.    In the article “Intentional Discipleship Habit Three: Attend Mass Often,” (the third in a series of six habits) we are asked to reflect on the Mass. How does attending Mass help cultivate our own discipleship and help us grow deeper in our faith? As a parish or staff, what can we do differently and do “more of” to encourage the intentional discipleship in our faith community, especially regarding attending Mass?

The Reflection Questions that can be used in conjunction with the May issue.

1. Archbishop Listecki refers to the new mission statement for the archdiocese. How do we as parish leaders help people to “proclaim Christ and make disciples through the Sacramental life of the Church?”

2- Daily personal prayer – the first of the six habits of discipleship – is also explored in the issue. How does daily prayer help me to live out my faith and grow in discipleship? Do I notice a difference in my life when I pray daily or when I do not?
